Spring Break Day 5
Went to watch practice in the morning. Got to see some of the top prospects do some fielding and batting practice. |
Then we headed to Camelback Ranch home of the Dodgers and White Sox. |
Their practice facility is unique in that the Dodgers and White Sox sides are connected so you can go from one side to the other. |
Tommy Lasorda was there signing autographs. |
Former Dodger Don Newcombe threw out the first pitch. |
After the Dodgers-Cubs game we headed back to Surprise for the Royals game. |
Unfortunately, some things never change. At least in the end, they ended up scoring more runs than errors. Hopefully tomorrow against the Indians will be a little better. |

Spring Break Day 4
That evening we had tickets for the Dodgers at the Diamondbacks at the new Salt River Fields. It still really hadn't stopped raining and the game got started a little late. |
Here is a panoramic view of the ballpark. We made 2 laps and talked to a guy whose wife is a professor at K-State. Small world!! |
Luckily I got to see one of my favorite former Royals! |

It's snowing.....
Its March 13 and it is snowing. They are projecting anywhere from 3 to 5 inches. I can see it coming down, everyone on Facebook is completely freaking out, and honestly I do not care. Why???? Because at this time next week I will be here......
